Would you look at that smile?! Meet Khadijatu. Khadijatu was born in the northern part of Sierra Leone on September 5, 2019. Her uncle was her primary caregiver. Sadly, she was involved in an accident in March 2021 that eventually resulted in part of her right foot being amputated. In April 2024, she was placed at TRS by the Ministry of Social Welfare. Of course, our caretakers instantly fell in love with her! How could you not?! Khadijatu is four years old, and even though she suffered a serious injury to her foot, she doesn’t let it slow her down. She keeps up with the other kids her age and is quiet but social. Khadijatu enjoys being with people and coloring. In just two short months, Khadijatu has warmed up to our staff and kids and is stealing the hearts of teams.
Even though she joined the TRS family in April, she is in desperate need of sponsors. We would love it if you would join us in supporting her through sponsorship. We can’t wait to watch this sweet girl grow!
