This week, we have a couple of quick updates from Sierra Leone to share with you. The kids have been busy with their schoolwork, but there has still been time for some fun and exciting activities in between.
Walk a Mile in My Shoes Campaign
We are honored to share that Idris and Sabrina Elba, along with Christian Louboutin, have chosen The Raining Season as one of six organizations WORLDWIDE to participate in their third Walk a Mile in My Shoes (WAMIMS) campaign. The initiative was first introduced in June 2021 to celebrate hope, empathy, and diversity. 2024's collection, imagined by Idris and Sabrina Elba along with Christian Louboutin, is a capsule collection which aims to support social equality and foster young people's creative development. The concept for the collection's official campaign was inspired by the rich tradition of African braids and their cultural significance. 100% of proceeds from sales of the Limited-Edition Capsule Collection will be shared with six charities worldwide. The collection is available online and at select Christian Louboutin boutiques. Thank you, Idris and Sabrina Elba, and Christian Louboutin, for partnering with The Raining Season for a second time. We are honored and grateful for your hearts for giving back to others.

End of year Exams
The kids are wrapping up school for the summer. They will take their final exam the second week of July before beginning their summer break. Our kids have worked incredibly hard this school year. We are proud of them and everything they have overcome. Please join us in praying for our children as they prepare for and take their final exams for the school year – that their knowledge and skills will be demonstrated on their exams. The Raining Season's Primary School's year will end on July 19th.
National Primary School Examination (NPSE) Results
In early May, ten children from The Raining Season's Primary School took the National Primary School Examination (NPSE). This test determines not only their promotion to the next grade level but also their eligibility for Junior Secondary School. If successful, they will continue their education outside our center next fall. They are currently awaiting the results of this test and are expected to find out later this month or early July if they passed.

Upcoming Graduation Celebrations
Finally, as the school year comes to a close, students in Nursery 3 and Grade 6 at our primary school are preparing for their upcoming graduation ceremonies. They will dress in regalia and the nursery kids are preparing a special performance. The graduation ceremony will take place on July 6th. We are looking forward to sharing more about this special day in July.
June Team
Our third team of the year will arrive in Sierra Leone this week. Please pray for safe travels, good health, and for a productive week at our center.
Thank you for your continued support. We are continuously humbled by how the Lord provides for TRS through you, our biggest supporters, prayer warriors, and cheerleaders.
Many blessings,
The Raining Season
