The Christmas season can be full of joy and happiness, but it can also be melancholy and stressful. There are gifts to buy, parties to attend, and celebrations to plan. It is easy to get so caught up in our feelings and to-do lists that we forget the reason for the celebration, the gift of Immanuel. As we enter into the final week of the Christmas season, Pastor Daniel has shared a Christmas message.
From Pastor Daniel:
Christmas! Christmas!! The greatest event in all history. The ultimate aim of our redemption is to be delivered from satan’s kingdom. Immanuel: God with us. God comes to us as people and lived in our world rather than having us try the impossible of going to Him. Jesus did not take us out of the turmoil and pain, but rather walks with us as we live life. It is a mistake to think of salvation as an escape from the world instead of an engagement with the world. Jesus was the king of kings, but he never lived as king in this life, but as a servant. We are kings and priests but we must be as humble, simple and submitted to his leadership. Merry Christmas!
