Recently, twenty-seven children from The Covering made the decision to be baptized. They are working with Pastor William to prepare for this special event. As they prepare their hearts for baptism, we are looking back to another special baptism at The Raining Season — one that reminds us of the incredible work God has been doing in the lives of the children we serve.
Since opening our doors more than fifteen years ago, the dedicated staff at TRS has poured into these children, sharing the love of Jesus with them daily. Many of these kids come to the center without ever hearing the Gospel. But over time, through discipleship, encouragement, and the transformational power of Christ, their lives are forever changed.
In January 2019, our kids were treated to a special trip to the beach when a team was on the ground. On this trip, fifteen children took the incredible step of faith and were baptized in the Atlantic Ocean by Pastor Daniel. It was a moment of joy and celebration as these children publicly declared their faith in Jesus. Looking back, it’s amazing to see how God has moved in their lives and in the work of TRS.
As we reflect on this throwback Thursday moment, we invite you to continue praying for these believers. Pray that their faith will deepen, that they will experience continued healing through Jesus, and that they will go on to share the love of Christ with others. Also, pray for our children who are preparing to be baptized. Pray that they feel the Lord’s presence deeply and be filled with the Holy Spirit.
God is faithful, and looking back at all He has done, we are filled with hope for what is still to come!
